Lync: Status
2. Try It: Review the Status Options
Go to Options->Tools->Options.
Click on Status.

What Do You See? Microsoft Lync shows people as Inactive when their computer is idle. The default is 5 minutes.

You can indicate that you are Away when your computer is Inactive for another 5 minutes.

Who Sees What? The next two options are based on whether you wish to use the System Administrator's settings or not. The answer depends on where you work and how the system is setup.

Memo to Self: Is it just me or does the wording seems rather vague and obtuse: Regardless? Override? Could change in the future?
